I am one of a growing number of people that suffers from Crohn's Disease. Crohn's Disease is an auto-immune disorder that I have suffered and lived with since I was 16 years old. After a very recent flare-up, I decided that I should document my episodes and experiences. Most of the documents and writings I find on the web are rather cold and my hope is that I can show -- through my words -- what goes through my mind.

CrohnsTip: Animal fat is difficult for a normal body to process. Eat lean, well-marbled meats and always remove visible excess fat.

"Well marbled meat" IS fat! Eat Bison!
ReplyDeleteI understand that the marbelization of meat refers to the fat content of the meat. It also refers to how ingrained in the meat the fat is. Fat ingested with other items is much easier for the body to process -- at least for my body. Many people like to eat the fat along with leaner cuts of meat for flavor and so makes the meal a tad more difficult to deal with.
